One Year Old Beach Pics

The day after Carter's birthday, we took a trip to the beach
for some pictures of our brand new one-year-old.

I love his sweet silhouette.

And even sweeter smile.

We bought both the rocking boat and the sailor outfit
about halfway through my pregnancy, right after we
found out we were having a little boy.
We put them in his nursery and imagined what it would be like
to actually have our baby here with us.

Well, Carter Maxwell, you have far exceeded any dreams
or expectations we ever had about raising a child.
You are the light of our lives and we couldn't love you more.

We are so blessed to have shared an entire year with you,
our awesome little man!

Love,
Mommy & Daddy

  1. Carrie, Love these pictures - and the outfit and boat are just too cute - perfection!! Can't believe that both our boys are now ONE - miracles the both of them!! xoxo, Ash

PS - for some reason I can't post comments from my phone, but his first birthday party was adorable. Love the sailor theme - and loved how you mentioned that he was trying to perfect his "drunken sailor" walk. Right now Jack is in the "zombie walking" phase - walking all over, but hands stretched straight out!!

    1. You HAVE to get some pictures of the zombie walk! Carter did this thing for a week or so where he would walk with both arms straight up in the air over his head. He was still pretty unsteady on his feet, so he walked with his legs turned outwards and sort of staggered around with this silly grin on his face and his arms swaying back and forth over his head like some kind of primate! I'm so bummed that I only have a couple of pictures of it and maybe one video. It was awesome. :)

You are all very blessed to have this sweet sweet boy to call your son. He is a little miracle.
What a fun photo shot at the beach - it looks like he had a good time too.

    1. He DID have fun. It was right after his cake smash and right before his first cone at my aunt's ice cream shop, so he was all sugared up that day and loving it!
